3 and MgO particles varied depending on slag compositions. Reaction products such as CaO·6Al 2O 3 CaO·2Al 2O 3 and Ca 2Al 2SiO 7 formed on the surface of Al 2O 3 particle. Surprisingly however in the case where reaction prod-ucts were MgAl 2O 4 and Ca 2SiO 4 phases these reaction products formed ring-like structure around MgO particles.
